Ocoee’s City Commission has approved plans for a low-rise hotel. Cambria Suites at Ocoee would measure six stories above grade, offering 117 rooms. Per the Orlando Business Journal, amenities include a swimming pool and rain garden. There will also be 108 parking spots—25 less than the required 133. Yet, developers don’t think this will pose an issue, even if the hotel is fully occupied.
On-site amenities would also include a sixth-floor, 1,500-square-foot restaurant. Google Earth’s most recent renderings show that the 2.6-acre property is currently undeveloped. Locally based Maguire Holding Group LLC is the developer. GrowthSpotter lists Mitch Collision, P.E., Inc. as the civil engineer. Construction and Design Group of Florida is the architect.
As noted, the low-rise hotel would be under the Cambria Hotels banner, which is based in Maryland and owned by Choice Hotels International Inc. The Cambria banner is one of the more upscale offerings the organization offers.
Cambria Suites at Ocoee isn’t the only hotel unfolding in Central Florida. In January 2023, Florida YIMBY learned of plans for “Lee Vista Village Resort,” a mixed-use venture that would offer more than 1,900 hotel rooms and 270 residences. At the time of publication, our sources did not indicate the project’s status.
Cambria Suites at Ocoee’s address is 924 Maguire Road, Ocoee, FL, 34761, in Orange County.
