Veteran-led CC Homes has proposed Hanson Homes, a single-family housing development in Cooper City. The complex would comprise 38 houses on lots spanning 8,700 to 10,370 square feet. The residences themselves would measure 2,312 to 3,957 square feet.
Layout plans range from three-bedroom to six-bedroom models. The South Florida Business Journal notes that while there wouldn’t be a major amenity center, many of the homes would come with waterfront views of local canals or retention ponds. City officials reviewed the proposal on May 28th.
There, CC Homes requested a rezoning change from agricultural to single-family, hoping to get a flex density increase. Presently, the 19.23-acre site is home to a tree farm and a house dating back to the 1920s. While the tree farm would make way for new development, the historically significant house would remain on the property.
CC Homes currently has the lot under contract from Hanson Homestead LLC. Doral-based Miami Architectural Studio designed the project. The firm has more than 30 years of experience creating both commercial and residential projects.
Hanson Homes could take shape at 10550 Griffin Road, Cooper City, FL, 33328, in Broward County. It would lie south of I-595 and east of I-75.
