Indiana-based Thompson Thrift has plans to break ground on a Class A multi-family housing development in St. Augustine, FL. Terrassa, named for the Spanish city, will offer 324 luxury residences, with floorplans spanning one-bedroom to three-bedroom models.
According to the developer’s website, each home will come with 1,400 square feet of interior living space, featuring stainless steel appliances, spacious walk-in closets, and a host of other high-end finishings. Communal amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, dog park—the list goes on and on. The community itself is within eight miles of downtown St. Augustine and a 42-minute drive from downtown Jacksonville.
Multi-Housing News reports that Terrassa is part of a larger redevelopment project on a 14-acre site that once housed the St. Augustine Outlets, a 100,00-square-foot-plus commercial venture that was demolished nearly two years ago.
Upon Terrassa’s anticipated completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, the complex will be Thompson Thrift’s 17th Florida housing development. In December 2023, Florida YIMBY reported on the Junction at Rockledge, another project in Thompson Thrift’s pipeline. Upon completion, the housing development will offer 380 luxury units, ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans.
Terrassa is planned for 500 Outlet Mall Boulevard, St. Augustine, FL, 32084, in St. Johns County.
