Atlanta-based Wood Partners intends to break ground on “the only attainable, new construction development” in Venice.

Altera Jacaranda is a garden-style, multi-family development comprising 280 units divided amongst five four-story buildings. The residences themselves are a mix of one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans.

Communal amenities at the Class A development include a dog park and outdoor pet washing station, resort-style swimming pool, co-working spaces, and fitness center. Developers intend to deliver the project by the second quarter of 2026.

Altera Jacaranda intends to appeal to budget-conscious tenants looking to reside in new development in southwestern Florida. As part of the project, Wood Partners is working with Venice city officials to modify the three-way intersection of Commerce Drive and Jacaranda Boulevard to a four-way intersection. Our source notes that this modification will promote traffic flow and reduce congestion around the complex.

The 280-unit complex isn’t the only project in Wood Partners’ pipeline. PR Newswire notes that it’s also working on V by Alta, a luxury housing development in Orlando. Construction started on that venture earlier this June, and it’s expected to yield 219 units. Like Altera Jacaranda, it’s expected to open in 2026.

Wood Partners’ website lists Altera Jacaranda’s address as 2305 Frederick Drive Venice, Venice, Florida, 34292, in Sarasota County.
