Opal Sol, a beachfront resort in Clearwater Beach, has nearly finished construction. The venture’s slated for a mid-February opening, where it’ll serve as the adjacent Opal Sands resort’s “sol mate”. The pair will be connected via a skyway pedestrian bridge. The project topped out in last year’s fourth quarter.
The high-rise luxury venture will feature 248 suites, with accommodations including studio to three-bedroom layout plans. In-unit features will include hot tubs, full-sized kitchens, and outdoor showers. That’s not all; the resort will also feature just over 57,000 square feet of event space, some of which will comprise the 880-guest ballroom. The venture will also have three swimming pools, a spa, and a variety of restaurants.
Ocean Properties Hotels Resorts & Affiliates is the developer. The Palm Beach County-based firm acquired the build site for $14.6 million in 2016. Moss Construction is the general contractor. The firm was selected to build The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay, in November 2024. Our report shared that the 20-story waterfront venture will offer homes spanning 3,500 to around 6,000 square feet.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal shares that Opal Sol is now one of 27 hospitality ventures nationwide; most are located in Florida. The 248-unit resort is located at 400 Coronado Dr., Clearwater Beach, FL, 33767, in Pinellas County.
