Hallandale Beach-based Grupo Eco intends to move forward with a mixed-use development in the area.

The Web Center would replace two duplexes and a few single-family homes, offering residences, office space, and retail. Plans call for two structures: a four-story office building and a seven-story multi-family tower, both connected by a podium that would feature 9,350 square feet of retail and 155 parking spots.

Regarding the residential aspect: The Web Center would comprise 35 residences, a total of 22,700 square feet of new construction. The units themselves would span about 545 to 675 square feet each. The community wouldn’t offer any major amenities found in larger multi-family developments. As noted, the four-story building would offer office space–– 30,568 square feet to be exact.

If approved, the Web Center would occupy a 0.98-acre site. Ari Sklar of Sklarchitecture designed the community. The Hollywood-based firm also designed Blue Park, a multi-family housing development featuring 185 residences. Amenities would include a fitness center, swimming pool, and a second-story amenity deck.

As noted, Grupo Eco is the developer. The firm also developed Atlantic Village, a mixed-use development featuring retail and office space. Florida YIMBY first reported on this venture in 2023. The Web Center has been proposed for 228 SE 9th St, Hallandale Beach, FL, 33009, in Broward County.
