Related Urban Development Group (RUDG), the affordable housing branch of the Related Group, is seeking approval for a 19-story mixed-use building. Gallery at Riverwalk would comprise 236 apartments. The venture would offer workforce housing, and affordable housing units for those earning up to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). Records report that Miami-Dade’s AMI is currently $79,400 a year.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that 36 units would be transferred from the nearby Henry Cain building, a 15-story high-rise that’s set to be demolished. Floorplans would include one-bedroom and two-bedroom models, measuring 400 to 1,195 square feet.

Amenities at Gallery at Riverwalk would include a fitness center, pickleball court, swimming pool, and dog washing station, among others. In addition to the homes, the tower would also have 1,550 square feet of retail and 188 parking spots. CFE Architects is the architect. Gallery at Riverwalk is estimated to cost more than $100 million to complete,
Gallery at Riverwalk would occupy a 0.98-acre site at 1175 N.W. South River Drive, Miami, FL, 33136, in Miami-Dade County. More than 10 years ago, Naeem Khan, a celebrity fashion designer, wanted to use the site to manufacture clothing, intending to build a 30,000-square-foot facility. Yet, that project never came to fruition.
