Florida YIMBY has an update regarding a luxury housing development we covered in last year’s first quarter.
Construction has officially started on Anclote Harbor Apartments, which is now known as Caroline Anclote Harbor (or Caroline @ Anclote Harbor, per some sources). The hotly contested multi-family housing development will feature 404 apartments spread across five four-story buildings. The garden-style community offers one-bedroom to three-bedroom floorplans.

According to BLDUP, the venture will have “amenities and features that are superior to any garden-style apartment community in Tampa Bay.” Offerings include a dog park, children’s playground, and resort-style swimming pool, to name a few. Other amenities include a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse with co-working space, a 2,000-square-foot fitness center, and walking trails.
Texas-based The Morgan Group is the developer. It’s been working on Anclote Harbor Apartments for close to five years. In 2021, Tarpon Springs city officials approved the community, but it was stalled following a lawsuit filed by local residents concerned about wildlife preservation and traffic density. As part of the development, The Morgan Group will preserve 35 acres of the larger 64-acre site, aiming to limit its environmental impact.
Caroline Anclote Harbor is currently unfolding at 42700 US Hwy 19 N, Tarpon Springs, FL, 34689, in Pinellas County.
