SP Media Group, led by Steven Paul, has announced the acquisition of the Art Deco Marela Boutique Hotel, a 17 room, 8,884 square foot property located at 310 Meridian Avenue in Miami Beach’s South Beach neighborhood. The transaction expands Paul’s real estate holdings within the hospitality sector and follows his recent purchase of Avenue Six Studios in Van Nuys and the establishment of Hank’s Café in Century City, California.

“The Marela Boutique Hotel advances our strategy to diversify real estate holdings between hospitality and entertainment,” said Steven Paul, Chairman and CEO of SP Media Group. “We see tremendous opportunity to enhance the property’s guest experience by deepening its Art Deco theme and bringing the hotel to its full potential. This acquisition reflects our broader commitment to acquiring well located properties that embody creativity and long term value.”

The property features 17 rooms across Queen Studios, Queen Suites, and King Suites, and spans 8,884 square feet. The hotel is fully renovated and designed to reflect the surrounding Art Deco Historic District, with a white facade, geometric detailing, and architectural elements characteristic of the neighborhood. Its South Beach location provides walkable access to the ocean, restaurants, and nearby cultural and nightlife destinations.

Paul’s recent acquisition of Avenue Six Studios in Van Nuys has positioned the facility as a central hub for SP Media Group’s production activity, including a collaboration with Jon Voight and Kelsey Grammer on The Last Firefighter, filmed on site and throughout Los Angeles. Paul has also produced titles such as Man with No Past, which reached the number one position on Paramount Plus in 18 countries, as well as Risqué, High Ground, and The Last Gunfight. Paul, Voight, and Scott Karol, President of SP Media Group, continue to support policy initiatives that strengthen domestic film production, including the renewal and expansion of Section 181, known as the CREATE Act.

“With the Marela Boutique Hotel, we now offer a unique hospitality experience where creativity and comfort come together for guests and industry professionals alike,” added Paul.
