Property Markets Group (PMG) has announced a major construction milestone for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami at 300 Biscayne Boulevard. Miami’s first supertall tower has completed the concrete pour for its 50th level, marking the halfway point of vertical construction for the planned 100-story, 1,049-foot structure. Once completed, it will become the tallest residential building south of New York City. The tower is being designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with Carlos Ott, with interiors by BAMO. The development team includes Property Markets Group and Greybrook Realty Partners, alongside Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development, and Hilton. John Moriarty & Associates is serving as the general contractor.

PMG’s PR team provided YIMBY with recent ground and aerial photos of construction progress. Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami is rising at an average rate of one floor every 10 days. The tower is composed of nine offset glass cubes arranged in a spiraling vertical formation, producing a distinct silhouette within the Miami skyline. Four of the cubes are now visible as the superstructure continues to ascend. For context, the Vizcayne condominium towers directly across the street, rise 49 stories and 538 feet, illustrating the dramatic height difference the Waldorf Astoria will achieve once the full 100-story profile is complete.

The project occupies a prominent site at the northwest corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast Third Street, directly across from Bayfront Park. The development will include 387 private residences and 205 hotel rooms, owned and managed by Hilton Management Services. Hotel programming and amenity areas will be located within the lower cubes, including gathering spaces, event rooms, and resident facilities.

Hotel guests and residents will have access to the Waldorf Astoria brand’s world-famous Peacock Alley; a specialty restaurant; indoor/outdoor pre-function and function event spaces; meetings and boardrooms; a resort-style pool deck with private cabanas; and a holistic wellness spa and fitness center. Private residential amenities will include an owners-only lobby and lounge; hospitality suite for chef’s tastings and intimate soirees; billiard room; kid’s club; and elevated pool deck.

  1. It’s going to be stunning.

  2. Great photography. So far it looks solid, but that full rendering still has me wondering what the final structure will look like. Especially that final cube on top.

  3. Yes I think it’s breathtaking but when I think about wind, rain, clouds and other natural occurrences along with flying helicopters and planes and such and the fact that it will virtually be standing alone… well I get uneasy…

    • Don’t you think the builders, architects, and FAA took all that into consideration. These people are pros, not amateurs.

  4. I know that some people have said that this bldg is an ugly design, but I couldn’t disagree more. Keep in mind that renderings almost never resemble how the final product appears. but even so, the unique design will be a standout amongst other towers. Add that to how beautiful Miami World Center, Okan, Aston Martin, 888 Tower (Dolce and Gabbana) and 1428 are and will be, and Miami will have one of the most beautiful skylines in the world by 2030.

  5. Stunning!!!

  6. So ugly .do you honestly believe people will go live in a dangerous building with hurricane winds and sinking ground in Miami?

  7. A similar cubed building is in Toronto called Exhibit. The cubes are slightly offset and it came out stunning.

  8. Dre sounds like an ai response. Because 888 is marina blue and has nothing to do with dolce and gabana

And this building is fn horrendous looking. Like something that almost toppled over from the garbage disaster in the movie Wall-E

Couple this with the fountain bridge that is only 1000 feet long yet has a budget of 80!million dollars. I’d say Miami is as corrupt as cities can be

Also, the junga cubes in Jersey City area west of Manhattan is same design. But, its fine and interesting non-the-less as each city has these cubes I guess.
