Florida YIMBY has an update regarding the Beachmaker Hotel, a luxury project we shared in 2024.

Boca Ciega Land Co. LLC, the venture’s developer, has purchased the Bowden’s Marina for $5.6 million. The marina will be incorporated into the hotel, and the slips will host commercial ventures, such as sunset cruises and fishing charters for guests. The developer also owns the Madeira Beach Moorings marina by John’s Pass, which is intended to operate as a “sister marina” to the Beachmaker.

Construction is anticipated to start on the Beachmaker next month, where it will comprise 161 high-end units. The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that more than 50 percent of the units have been sold, and the 10 penthouses will be priced from $4 million to $4.5 million each.

The publication describes the Beachmaker as “a condo hotel where units are owned, but the property is managed like a hotel.” Owners have the option of renting out their not-in-use units as suites.

Boca Ciega Land Co. LLC purchased the hotel’s build site for $13.5 million in 2022. The entity has multiple hotel/condo projects in the works, including the renovation of the Sandalwood Beach Resort in North Redington Beach. The proposed six-story condo would feature million-dollar homes spanning one-bedroom to four-bedroom floorplans.

The Beachmaker Hotel is set for 14500 Madeira Way, Madeira Beach, FL, 33708, in Pinellas County.
