Construction is continuing on Villa Miami, a 56-story waterfront condominium tower rising at 710 Northeast 29th Street in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Designed by ODP Architects and developed by Terra and One Thousand Group, the 650-foot-tall structure will yield 70 half-floor and full-floor condominium residences overlooking Biscayne Bay. Moss Construction is serving as general contractor for the project, with interiors by AD100 designer Vicky Charles and hospitality and culinary programming curated by Major Food Group.

The reinforced concrete superstructure has continued its rapid ascent since our last update in March, when construction had reached the 28th floor. The tower has now climbed to the 37th floor, placing the structure over 65% to its final floor count, with two yellow tower cranes flanking the active formwork, reshoring, rebar assemblies, and temporary safety screens around the uppermost levels. The main aerial photo above reveals the advancing articulation of Villa Miami’s exoskeleton frame, where the concrete members are beginning to divide and define the tower’s distinctive chamfered edges. Recesses will eventually form and be enclosed with floor-to-ceiling glazing, creating the vertically faceted corners shown in the renderings. Glass panels are also steadily enclosing the completed residential floors, while no copper-colored cladding panels appear to have been installed yet.

A second close-range aerial photograph positioned just south of the tower captures several glazed levels along Villa Miami’s southern elevation. Most floor-to-ceiling glass panels remain covered in protective film, with portions beginning to peel away from the newly installed glazing. The image prominently frames the yellow tower crane mast threaded between the unfinished concrete columns, with expansive views stretching eastward across Biscayne Bay toward Miami Beach.

The renderings from Binyan Studios below preview Villa Miami’s completed appearance, highlighting the tower’s slender proportions and copper-toned exoskeletal frame wrapping the full height of the structure.

The tower recently unveiled its $55 million penthouse residence, a fully finished and designed “estate in the sky” crowning the building.

Villa Miami marks Major Food Group’s first branded residential tower, integrating the hospitality group’s culinary and hospitality concepts into the residential experience. Amenities will include The Copper Club, a three-level private amenity suite featuring dining rooms, lounges, wellness facilities, salon spaces, a screening room, and a rooftop helipad. A waterfront restaurant operated by Major Food Group is also planned at the base of the tower with resident priority access.

The development represents the first collaboration between Terra and One Thousand Group, whose combined portfolios include projects involving architects such as Renzo Piano, Rem Koolhaas, Bjarke Ingels, and Zaha Hadid.

Villa Miami is anticipated to complete in late 2027.

  1. You can be sure that cute little Mission style building to the left is next.

At this point, apartment blocks in China look better.
