Sitework Starts on Two-Tower ‘Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences’ at 750 Claughton Island Dr, Miami, FL

Sitework has officially started on the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences in Miami-Dade County.

The luxury endeavor is slated to comprise two towers: one measuring 66 stories (850 feet) and another measuring 33 stories (426 feet). The larger tower will host 66 residences and 121 hotel keys; the other will exclusively host residences – 228, to be exact. Floorplans will range from two-bedroom to five-bedroom layouts, including duplex penthouses.

Residents at both towers would have access to a suite of amenities, with just a few including multiple swimming pools, waterfront cabanas, and sports courts.  In total, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences would span more than 1.2 million square feet of new construction and cost an estimated $226 million to complete.

Kohn Pedersen Fox is the architect. Swire Properties and Mandarin Oriental are leading the project. In April 2026, the former demolished the Mandarin, Oriental Miami, which was considered one of the city’s largest implosion events in more than 10 years, per Florida YIMBY’s spring report. The hotel and its parking structure were built in 2000.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences is projected to achieve completion in 2030. It’s unfolding at 750 Claughton Island Dr, Miami, FL, 33131, in Miami-Dade County.
