Construction is approaching completion on Grand Station Miami, a 31-story, 322-foot-tall residential tower located at 240 North Miami Avenue in Downtown Miami’s Central Business District. Designed by Zyscovich Architects with Frances Anillo Toledo listed at the architect of record, the building is being developed through a public-private venture between Grand Station Partners, a partnership including developer Rovr Development and former Yankee Alex Rodriguez’s A-Rod Corp, and the Miami Parking Authority. Ortega Construction Company is the general contractor; B&J Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer.
Recent photos reveal the current state of construction at the tower, which originally topped off sometime in the latter half of 2020. An immense amount of progress has been made on the facade, which features a mix of white and grey smooth stucco paneling, while the tinted glass windows are framed in dark aluminum. The stucco is patterned in a style really familiar with other recently constructed buildings within the area, and is finished throughout most of the tower. With the hoist elevator now disassembled, paneling on the section of the elevation it once stood on shall begin soon; the ground floor has yet to be clad, but tall panels of glass are installed.
The construction of Grand Station Miami occurred simultaneously with several other projects within the Central Business District from other developers, as construction has boomed in recent years in hopes of transforming the neighborhood in to a modern hub with vast living options and ease of transportation. Leasing has already launched for the 300 units, which will come in Class-A luxury studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom layouts priced between $1,277 – $1,963; yielding 212,800 square feet of residential space. Some notable features within the units are custom Italian cabinets, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, walk-in closets and a full-size washer and dryer. Amenities include a fitness center, indoor heated soaking pool, a computer and business center, and an outdoor spa. The mutil-level parking garage extension will offer up to 369 spaces.
A-Rod Corp will be managing the property.
Completion is expected for sometime in May 2021.
