The Place at Channelside is a residential complex in Tampa, Florida. Now, the venture’s getting its second phase, which is expected to cost around $70 million to complete. As it stands, the development comprises 245 units.
The addition will measure 32 stories above grade and offer 280 residential units. Sources note that the second phase requires more than 250,000 square feet of new construction. Plans also call for more than 4,500 square feet of commercial space, per the Tampa Business Journal.
Dynamic Group Management owns the venture. It acquired the half-acre parcel in 2021—although the Place at Channelside’s first phase opened more than 10 years ago. Right now, developers are seeking various permits to allow for construction. Sitework isn’t expected to start before 2024. This could change with time. Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. is the civil engineer.
The Place at Channelside offers one- to two-bedroom units, measuring 1,237 square feet to 1,484 square feet each, per Apartments.com. Amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, and clubhouse. It’s unclear whether the Place at Channelside’s second phase will offer similar residences and amenities.
The Place at Channelside second phase’s address is 940 Channelside Drive, Tampa, Florida, 33602, in Hillsborough County. It’s south of Busch Gardens and north of the Florida Aquarium.
