The Jim Moran Foundation has offered life-changing services to its community for more than 20 years. Now, after purchasing a 2.43-acre build site in 2021, it’s started construction on a new headquarters.
Per the Jim Moran Foundation, the 50,000-square-foot facility will offer class A office space, an archives gallery, and event space. The South Florida Business Journal reports that the new headquarters will measure five stories above grade, and the general contractor (Stiles) is currently handling construction.
Completion’s slated for March 2025. When it opens, it will have enough space to accommodate 42 staff members. Hastings Architecture designed the mid-rise building, with conceptual renderings showing a uniquely styled facility.
David Bailey, one of the organization’s design partners, described the building as having “striking forms of textured, angular surfaces with dynamic carves and focused openings that highlight important programs inside, and frame views out directionally towards places of relevant connection to the foundation’s history.”
Prior to the start of construction, Google Earth shows that the build site was vacant. The Jim Moran Foundation’s headquarters will be located at 4545 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33308, in Broward County. The venture will be west of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach.
