Our sources report that two developers have broken ground on a mid-rise hotel in Miami Beach. The Dolce by Wyndham Miami is a five-story venture offering 90 rooms, occupying a 15,000-square-foot property that once hosted a 36-unit condo, which has been demolished.

Upon its anticipated completion in 2026, the hotel will create 45 jobs. Communal amenities at the high-end venture include an on-site restaurant and rooftop swimming pool. The Dolce by Wyndham Miami will cost $40 million to complete; a $21.5 million construction loan from Amerant Bank made the project possible.

The developers, South America-based Glokal Group and locally based Blue Road, purchased the build site for $14.41 million in 2019. Buslam is the general contractor. Revuelta Architecture is the architect. Florida YIMBY recently reported on another project in the firm’s pipeline: Four Seasons Private Residences Coconut Grove, a 20-story tower requiring closing to 400,000 square feet of new construction. Revuelta Architecture also designed Una Residences, which topped out this April.

The Dolce by Wyndham Miami intends to bring guests closer to “unparalleled attractions” and offer “the perfect blend of comfort and exclusivity”. It is slated for the site at 1745 James Avenue, Miami Beach, FL, 33139, in Miami-Dade County.
