Construction is expected to start soon on the Kelson Apartments, a multi-family housing complex in Lake Nona. The venture’s expected to yield 342 residences divided amongst 19 buildings. They span 691 to 1,387 square feet each, offering future residents flexible layouts and various furnishings.

The Orlando Business Journal notes that floorplans range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layouts; there will also be nine two-story carriage houses and two-story loft-style apartments. Communal amenities include a fitness lawn and studio, dog park, and yoga room.

A special amenity includes a net-zero energy-use clubhouse outfitted with a floating solar array. Of the community’s parking spots, 10 percent will be reserved for electric vehicles (EVs).

Tavistock Development Co. is the developer. It hopes to finish the project in 2026, where the complex then be managed by SPM. At the time of publication, our sources did not reveal how much rent would cost, although monthly rent in the area hovers around $1,915.

FK Architecture designed the Kelson Apartments. It also designed East Grand Village, which we reported on this September. Walker & Company is the general contractor. The 342-unit complex is slated for a 17-acre site located northwest of Lake Nona Ariel Apartments and along J. Lawson Boulevard.
