Five Park, a 48-story residential tower located at 500 Alton Road at the entrance to South Beach, is now complete, standing 519-feet as the tallest building in Miami Beach. Developed by Terra and GFO Investments, the project combines modern design, green spaces, and residential amenities at one of Miami Beach’s most prominent locations. The tower, which rises alongside the newly opened Canopy Park, is the first residential high-rise completed in Miami Beach in over a decade. Moss Construction served as the general contractor.

The project features contributions from several renowned designers and architects. Arquitectonica served as the lead architectural firm, while interior designs were led by Gabellini Sheppard, Anda Andrei, and Meyer Davis. French conceptual artist Daniel Buren designed the Canopy Bridge, a pedestrian connection linking Five Park to the South of Fifth neighborhood. The Canopy Park, spanning three acres, was developed as a public green space featuring a botanical garden, a MONSTRUM playground, a dog park, and an event lawn. Designed with sustainability in mind, the park includes a stormwater management system, a “Dry River” bioswale, and a 25,000-gallon underground cistern for irrigation.

“Five Park exemplifies our commitment to creating iconic developments that elevate urban living and help cities realize their full potential,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “This tower offers world-class amenities and exceptional design while seamlessly integrating with Miami Beach’s cultural fabric and enhancing the area’s resiliency.”

“Five Park represents the dynamic evolution of Miami Beach,” said Russell Galbut, Chairman of GFO Investments. “The tower, along with the Canopy Bridge pedestrian walkway to South of Fifth and Canopy Park, introduces a level of design and innovation that the neighborhood has not seen before. We are proud to collaborate with the city to bring these transformative experiences to our community.”

“The design concept for the building combines every element of Miami Beach alongside a fusion of hospitality and residential features to create an incredible quality of life,” said Anda Andrei, design director of Five Park. “From the residents-only club to the landscape of the amenity deck that aims to create surprising new environments and stunning escapes, all components are creating an evolved living standard.”

“Miami’s appeal grew stronger during the pandemic as families began putting greater emphasis on quality of life and more businesses embraced remote work,” said Martin. “Today, Miami is viewed as a desirable place to grow a business, raise a family, and invest capital. All of this supports our thesis at Five Park, where our team of design, urban planning, and artistic visionaries are reimagining the idea of luxury living in Miami Beach.”

As the first residential tower completed in Miami Beach in over a decade, Five Park introduces new, move-in-ready residences to a limited-supply market. Buyers for the project primarily come from domestic markets, including New York, Connecticut, and Boston, reflecting Miami Beach’s continued draw as a destination for both residents and investors.

  1. So if it’s the tallest, why no mention of the height? As an avid reader of YIMBY, this seems to be a consistent trend when you state a building is the tallest, the actual height is omitted. Am I the only one that finds that odd?

  2. I believe it is 518 fert.

  3. Thanks for adding the height (519′) Oscar!
