Construction to Start on ‘Alta Roosevelt’ Next Month at 11101 Roosevelt Blvd., St. Petersburg, Florida

Construction is set to start on an affordable housing development Florida YIMBY covered in June 2025.

Developer Wood Partners intends to break ground on Alta Roosevelt this May, with completion slated for spring 2028. The five-story development will feature 381 apartments, 40 percent of which (152) will be reserved for residents earning at or below 120 percent of the area median income (AMI).

Floorplans are set to range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans; residents would have access to a variety of indoor and outdoor amenities. They include a fitness center, resort-style swimming pool with lounging areas, and a golf simulator. Alta Roosevelt is ideally situated just 11 miles from downtown St. Petersburg and offers easy access to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and Tampa International Airport.

Wood Partners purchased Alta Roosevelt’s build site for $22.5 million in March. The site currently hosts a 167,600-square-foot office building that was constructed in 2003. It would be demolished to make way for new construction, yet the parking garage on the premises would remain. Wood Partners has a variety of developments under the Alta banner, some of which are nearing completion.

Alta Roosevelt is set to occupy 11101 Roosevelt Blvd., St. Petersburg, Florida, 33716, in Pinellas County.
