Lake Nona Wave Hotel is a multi-million-dollar hotel arriving soon to Orlando, FL. General contractor Balfour Beatty Construction started work on the endeavor in July 2019. Now, the hotel’s slated to open later this year. Per the hotel’s website, guests can book their stays for mid-December, starting at around $300 a night.
The hotel will be at the center of the Lake Nona Town Center, an outdoor retail and entertainment venture in Orange County. The hotel itself rises 16 stories above grade and comprises over 215 units. It also includes over 12,000 square feet of “tech-infused meeting and event space.” In total, the hotel comprises 193,000 square feet of new construction.
The hotel prides itself on providing an innovative, tech-savvy accommodations. Per Arquitectonica Headquarters’ conceptual renderings, the high-rise building’s rectangular shape is outlined by neon lights, accompanied by glass windows that allow for natural light.
The Construction Journal reports that the Tavistock Group/Tavistock Development Company, LLC owns the venture. The Orlando-based firm has five active projects, including the Lake Nona Town Center HQ Office Building B. It’s also working on a P.F. Chang’s, also located in Orange County.
Lake Nona Wave Hotel is located at 6772 Tavistock Lakes Boulevard, Orlando, FL, 32827. In terms of relative location, it’s a 23-minute drive from Walt Disney World Resort and 27 minutes from Universal Orlando.
