Dominium, Inc. hopes to move forward with The Mira and The Waters, two housing developments offering more than 500 units in Orange County, Florida. According to the Orlando Business Journal, The Mira would offer 336 affordable housing units, while The Waters would offer 180 affordable housing units.
Walt Disney World Resort has decided to address Florida’s affordable housing crisis with a community of its own. The venture, resting on an 80-acre parcel, will offer 1,300 affordable housing units.
Miami Beach, Florida, will soon be home to Vista Breeze, an affordable housing community for seniors. The venture will offer more than 115 units divided between two sites. One site measures 30,600 square feet and the other 22,752 square feet.
After closing on a $102.5 million loan from Related Fund Management earlier this year, Cymbal DLT Companies is breaking ground on the multifamily housing project at 20775 Northwest 17th Avenue in Miami Gardens. The Sweetwater City Commission has cleared the way for CREI Holdings to develop an additional 316 affordable housing apartments. Li’l Abner III, which will rise next to its sister buildings Li’l Abner I and II, will help ease Miami’s shortage of affordable housing among seniors, one of the most vulnerable populations in the region.
