Housing Trust Group & Elite Equity Development break ground on Phase 2 of the ‘Naranja Grand’ Affordable Housing Community in Leisure City

A joint venture between Housing Trust Group (HTG) and Miami Lakes-based Elite Equity Development, Inc. (EED), has closed on financing and commenced construction on Naranja Grand II, a new $71 million affordable apartment community comprised of 200 residences in Homestead, Southwest Miami-Dade County. Naranja Grand II is the second phase of a comprehensive two-phase development, addressing a critical need for affordable and workforce housing in Miami-Dade County. The first phase of Naranja Grand – which caters to seniors aged 55 and older – commenced construction on its 120 residences in January. The design and construction team for Naranja Grand II includes ATL Architecture, general contractor Gomez Construction, engineer EAC Consulting, interior design by Builders Design, and landscape architecture by Sieger Suarez Architects.

An application for an Administrative Site Plan Review (ASPR) has been submitted to Miami-Dade County’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources for the development of West Aventura Town Center’s East Block Phase II, a massive mixed-use project consisting of retail and residential space within an 8-story building over approximately 114,334 square feet of land. Designed by Miami-based ATL Architecture, this portion of the development will yield a total of 350 dwelling units and approximately 21,937 square feet of commercial space with 717 parking spaces. A 270-unit multi-family project has been proposed to the Planning and Zoning Design Review Committee of Fort Lauderdale at 427 Northeast 1st Avenue in the Flagler Village neighborhood. Encompassing the addresses between 409 – 433 NE 1st Ave., the property spans 10 parcels of land on the eastern side of the interior lot bounded by NE 5th St. to the north, NE 4th St. to the south and N Andrews Ave. to the west.
