LeFrak And Turnberry Break Ground On 30-Story Residential Tower At SoLé Mia In North Miami

Developers LeFrak and Turnberry, through their joint venture Oleta Partners, have broken ground on a 30-story residential tower in North Miami. The building, 2400 Laguna Circle, is the fourth residential development in the SoLé Mia mixed-use project, a 184-acre former superfund site along Biscayne Bay. This new development will add 328 rental residences to the community, ranging from 686 to 1,315 square feet.

Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the soaring tower will rise 100 stories and 1,049 feet above Biscayne Bay, marking Miami’s first supertall tower and the tallest residential building south of New York City. This also marks the debut of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, Waldorf Astoria, in the Miami and South Florida market. John Moriarty Associates is the general contractor and is scheduled to break ground on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

South Florida-based Two Roads Development has unveiled plans for EDITION Residences, Miami Edgewater, the luxury brand’s first stand-alone collection of fully serviced condominium residences. Located at 2121 North Bayshore Drive in Miami’s premier Edgewater neighborhood, the 55-story bayfront tower will enjoy over 800 linear feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay and uphold the EDITION brand’s quality of design, services, and amenities. The project will feature 185 bespoke homes showcased in a sleek, 649-foot-tall glass tower designed by visionary architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia, founder of Arquitectonica, with acclaimed interiors by Studio Munge led by Alessandro Munge. B Developments under the LGE NBV, LLC filed an application with Miami-Dade County for a shoreline review at 1755 Kennedy Causeway in North Bay Village. The developer is planning a 340-foot-tall mixed-use building designed by Arquitectonica that would stand 30 stories and directly front Biscayne Bay. Plans calls for 473,252 square feet of space including 201 residential units with 32,654 square feet of amenities, a 19,455-square-foot space for a restaurant with a waterfront terrace, a 1,860-square-foot juice bar/coffee bar on the ground floor, 52,358 square feet of office space and a parking structure incorporated into the podium with 408 parking spaces. ArquitectonicaGEO is the landscape architect with Kimley-Horn as the civil engineer.

Leading global hospitality company Hyatt has teamed up with Miami-based luxury hospitality and residential developer Gencom to redevelop Downtown Miami’s iconic Hyatt Regency Miami at 400 Southeast 2nd Avenue, with the goal of making improvements in and out of the urban core, and activating a key piece of Miami’s riverfront. Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica, plans for the site include three towers offering residents and hotel guests panoramic views of Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. Towers one and two would rise 61-stories and include 682 multifamily apartments, a 615-room Hyatt Regency with over 100,000 square feet of meeting space, and 264 serviced apartments; the towers would be linked at the top by a Skybridge featuring an upscale destination restaurant and lounge perched 700 feet over the city. Tower three would become one of the tallest buildings in South Florida rising 1,049-feet, anticipated to include 860 residential apartments.
