Canopy Park, Miami Beach’s new three-acre community park situated between the 600 and 700 blocks of Alton Road and designed by ArquitectonicaGEO, is now open to the public. Park-goers can enjoy open greenspaces shaded by native tree species, pedestrian trails and bike paths, an outdoor gym and dog run, a MONSTRUM-designed children’s playground, and public art displays. Designed with sustainability in mind, Canopy Park reflects how landscape architecture can serve as a green resiliency solution for coastal communities with a host of environmentally conscious features including a Maritime Hammock, bioswales, and a 25,000-gallon cistern to conserve and manage rainwater.
Park Partners Residential, owner and operator of value-add and luxury multifamily apartment communities, and Independencia Asset Management have completed the $77,750,000 acquisition of The Commons, a multifamily residential community addressed as 8050 Gables Commons Drive in Orlando. The 19.28-acre property is located south of Little Lake Bryan Parkway and is east of Vineland Avenue and Interstate-4, just minutes away from Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Los Angeles-based Ares Management provided the funds for the purchase, which was brokered by Jubeen Vaghefi, Denny St. Romain and Charles Crapse of Cushman Wakefield. The newly formed joint venture between Park Partners Residential and Independencia Asset Management received a $58.5 million construction loan from American Real Estate Capital to fund an extensive renovation of the property’s 280 units, clubhouse and amenity spaces.
Philadelphia-based developer Stamm Development has broken ground on Serene Villas, a new residential community of six ultra-luxury townhouses in the early stages of construction at 1236 George Bush Boulevard in Delray Beach. The design for the project was envisioned by Randal Stofft of Delray Beach-based Stofft Cooney Architects, paired with interiors by award-winning design studio Asthetique. The interior lot spans nearly 0.62 acres, or precisely 26,907 square feet, and is mainly bound by George Bush Boulevard on the north with the other ends of the city block being North Ocean Boulevard on the East, Southways on the South, and Andrews Avenue on the West.
Applications have been filed with Miami-Dade County’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources proposing to construct an 83 single-family home community in Richmond West, Florida. The property is comprised of four vacant parcels of land spanning a combined 652,528 square feet, or 14.98-acres, generally located between Southwest 160th Street and theoretical Southwest 164th Street and between Southwest 149th Avenue and Southwest 148th Avenue. The homes are designed by Miami-based PPK Architecture and being developed by the Lennar Corporation. The application lists the project name as the ‘Wallace Stevens Assemblage’, likely named after the owners of the land, individuals Wallace and Carol Ann Stevens.
