Brightline Hosts Construction Milestone Topping-Off Ceremony At Boca Raton Station

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, along with its contractor Kaufman Lynn, recently hosted the “topping-off” ceremony for its Boca Raton station and parking garage located at 101 Northwest 4th Street. Brightline’s president, Patrick Goddard, was joined by Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, Kaufman Lynn Construction Senior Vice President Garrett Southern, and city council members. The event signifies a milestone event as the vertical and structural work has been completed and the focus now shifts towards completing the interiors. The Topping Off event will be commemorated with a ceremonial signing of a beam inside the train station.

Brightline Orlando Welcomes Two New Trainsets, Bright Pink 2 and Bright Green 2

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly intercity rail welcomes two more trains to Orlando, “Bright Green 2” and “Bright Pink 2.” Brightline’s two trains arrived together at Brightline’s Vehicle Maintenance Facility located south of Orlando International Airport, adding to the fleet of trains that will carry passengers between Orlando and South Florida. Bright Green 2 and Bright Pink 2, six-car trains consisting of two locomotives and four passenger coaches each, left the Siemens Rolling Stock facility in Sacramento on July 8. In total they traveled 3,000 miles across 10 states en route to Florida.

Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee (DRC) is scheduled to consider and review plans for ArtsPark Lofts, a 30-story mixed-use multifamily and commercial development proposed for 407 North Andrews Avenue in Flagler Village near the Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station. Designed by FSMY Architects & Planners with landscape architecture and civil engineering by KEITH and developed by Merrimac Ventures (Merrimac), a Fort Lauderdale-based development firm led by brothers Dev and Nitin Motwani, the project comprises 396,757 square feet of space including 289 residential units, 1,914 square feet of commercial space and a 6-story parking garage integrated into the podium for 359 vehicles. The DRC is scheduled to review the proposal for ArtsPark Lofts on Tuesday July 26, 2022

Bachow Ventures Proposes 47-Story Mixed-Use Tower At 11 North Andrews Avenue In Fort Lauderdale

Plans for a new 47-story mixed-use tower named 11 Andrews have been submitted to Fort Lauderdale’s Design Review Committee (DRC) for review. The project is designed by CUBE 3 with Witkin Hults + Partners as the landscape architect and is being proposed by Miami Beach-based Bachow Ventures managed by Noah Bachow. The building would rise approximately 479-feet to the roof, or 499-feet to the mechanical screen, and would yield an estimated 732,000 square feet of space including 425 residential units, 7,400 square feet of commercial space and 425 parking spaces.

Turnberry Proposes 14-Story Office Building Beside Aventura Mall And Near Upcoming Brightline Station

Turnberry Associates, the developer behind the Turnberry Ocean Club Residences in Sunny Isles Beach and the upcoming Grand Hyatt Miami Beach, has filed plans for Two Turnberry, a 14-story glass-clad Class-A office tower proposed for 2750 Northeast 199th Street near Aventura Mall and the new Aventura Brightline Station currently under construction. The development would connect the Aventura Mall to the Brightline station via a pedestrian bridge crossing over Biscayne Boulevard and Dixie Highway.Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica, the building would include approximately 240,000 square feet office space, 20,000 square feet of retail space, a 20,000-square-foot landscaped amenity deck and 720 parking spaces.
