Naftali Group Breaks Ground On 67-Story JEM Private Residences At Miami Worldcenter

Naftali Group has officially broken ground on JEM Private Residences, a 67-story condominium development located at 1016 Northeast 2nd Avenue in Miami Worldcenter. Designed by the Miami-based architecture firm Arquitectonica and the New York City-based interior design firm Rockwell Group, the building will rise over 700 feet and feature 259 condo units on the upper levels, 530 multi-family units on the lower levels, ground-floor commercial space, and 591 parking spaces. The development has swiftly moved from market entry to construction commencement in under five months, establishing a record pace for South Florida. This marks a significant milestone in Naftali Group’s expansion into Florida, as JEM Private Residences aims to set a new standard for quality in the region. OneWorld Properties is the exclusive brokerage, with Coastal Construction as the general contractor. DeSimone Consulting Engineering is the structural engineer, and MG Engineering D.P.C. is the MEP engineer.

900 Intracoastal Drive, Inc. has filed plans for a new 16-story residential building at 900 Intracoastal Drive, located near The Galleria shopping mall in Fort Lauderdale. The 185-foot-tall structure, named 900 Intracoastal, is set to yield 217,652 square feet of space and feature 44 exclusive residences along the city’s picturesque Intracoastal Waterway. The development has enlisted a team of renowned firms, including FSMY Architects + Planners as the architect, Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. as the landscape architect and civil engineer, MG Engineering for MEP engineering, Youssef Hachem Consulting as the structural engineer, and CRUSH Law P.A. as the land use attorney. Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee was scheduled to review the proposal on February 27.

The Miami Building Department has issued a phased vertical construction permit for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences, a 100-story supertall mixed-use skyscraper under construction at 300 Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami. Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with renowned architect Carlos Ott and developed by Property Markets Group in partnership with Greybrook Realty Partners, Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development, and Hilton, the soaring tower, designed in the form of nine stacked offset glass cubes, will be the first to achieve supertall status in Miami and the state of Florida. Detailed renderings and diagrams have been revealed via a new Urban Development Review Board application for E11EVEN Hotel & Residences, a mixed-use highrise under construction at 20 Northeast 11th Street in Downtown Miami’s Park West district. Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects with CHM Structural Engineers, LLC as the structural engineer, and developed between Property Markets Group and E11EVEN Partners under the PMG – 11th Street Venture LLC, the latest filing indicates the building will rise approximately 697 feet, or 709 feet above mean sea level, and span 63 stories. Plans for the development call for roughly 535,371 square feet of space inclusive of 485,000 square feet of residential space divided between 416 units, 38,860 square feet of commercial and retail space, and 41 parking spaces via a car elevator. The submittal is scheduled to be reviewed on November 16, 2022.

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources will consider the general site development plan resubmitted for 888, an 81-story supertall mixed-use skyscraper propped for 888 Brickell Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Brickell Financial District. Designed by Studio Sofield with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record and solely developed by Michael Stern’s JDS Development Group, the 1,048-foot-tall structure is planned to provide 1,178,568 square feet of space including 259 residential units, 52,144 square feet of health/fitness, 38,727 square feet of food and beverage, and 273 parking spaces operated by a valet. The application is pursuant to Section 33C-15 of the County Code of Ordinances for the Property, filed on October 4, 2022.

JDS Development Group Submits 1,049-Foot Supertall Skyscraper ‘Major’ To The FAA

Major, another supertall skyscraper of mixed-uses planned to rise in the heart of Miami’s financial district, has been submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for review. The developers, JDS Development Group and Major Food Group, hope to attain building permits to develop an 82-story, 1,049-foot-tall tower at 888 Brickell Avenue – a 0.52-acre site on the northwest corner of the intersection with Southeast 10th Street currently improved with a 7-story, 50-year-old office building. An elite team of designers and engineers has been assembled for the project, which includes New York-based Studio Sofield along with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record; Desimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer and MG Engineering is the MEP engineer; SLS is the code consultant and Kimley-Horn the landscape architect and civil engineer; Lerch Bates will handle vertical transportation and Walker Parking as the parking consultant; Socotec Consulting Inc. will oversee all enclosures, waterproofing and roofing.
