For several months, the Town of Davie in Broward County, Florida, has been constructing a multi-purpose development. Upon completion, the development is intended to provide affordable housing for the densely college-age population, as well as provide retailers for long-term residents.
The development is located on the corner of Griffin Road and Davie Road. These two major roads from an intersection that is in walking distance from the famous Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.
The development will be located on 14 acres of land, of which includes old Armadillo Square. Nob Hill Partners, LLC is the company overseeing the project’s completion. The organization is based out of Fort Lauderdale.
The retail portion of the development will be 40,000 square feet. The retail space will consist primarily of offices, facing Griffin Road and Davie Road. There is no information about the size of the residential space, but it will have 230 condos on the upper floors. These condos will be replaced in the complex’s rear away from the retail spaces.
Per the Town of Davie, the project itself will cost $50 million. It is approaching completion, as signs on the building indicate that there are spaces available for lease and purchase.
Residents’ children will be zoned for Broward County Public Schools. The complex is zoned for Dwight Eisenhower Elementary School and Nova High School.
