PMG & Greybrook Land $142.3 Million In Construction Financing For 318-Unit Society Wynwood

Society Wynwood, a 10-story mixed-use development proposed for 2431 Northwest 2nd Avenue, is taking a major step forward in the Wynwood Arts District. Developers Property Markets Group (PMG) and Greybrook Realty Partners have landed a financing deal of $142.3 million for vertical construction of the 318-unit project, which broke ground earlier this year. The financing will be provided by Pacific Western Bank and Square Mile Capital, marking the third Society-branded project for South Florida. MKDA is listed as the architect with Moriarty Construction as the general contractor.

Scheduled for completion in Spring of 2023, Society Wynwood will include 318 rental apartments and up to 50,210 square feet of commercial space between the ground floor and rooftop. Prospect tenants will have the option to rent traditionally-sized units with efficient layouts, or “Rent-by-Bedroom” (co-living) options. Amenities will include a massive pool deck, co-working lab, modern gym and fitness studio, entertainment lounges, yoga lawn, craft food and beverage operations, smart package lockers, app-based keys, integrated retail space and more.

This development marks the 4th Society Living project to go vertical for the developer duo, with Society Las Olas having opened in May of 2020 in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Society Biscayne at 400 Biscayne Boulevard scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2022, and Society Orlando at 434 North Orange Avenue currently undergoing vertical construction in Downtown Orlando. A 600-unit 12-story mixed-use project was recently announced slated for Denver, Colorado, and it seems a few more developments may be in the planning stages for Atlanta, Brooklyn and Nashville. In total, over 8,500 units are planned.
