Max Beach Resort (formerly known as “Max Daytona”) will open as a vacation destination on May 29, 2022. Originally, plans called for luxury condos. The 12-story building will feature one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom vacation rental units. There are six different layout options to choose from, and they measure between 900 to over 2,000 square feet each.
The project, which rests on 1.63 acres, is jam-packed with amenities. Offerings include a fitness center, full bar, pool, two terraces facing the Halifax River and the Atlantic Ocean, and a yoga studio. Many of these amenities are located on the 12th floor.

NewsDaytonaBeach.com suggests that Bayshore Capital, Inc. changed plans for the project in the wake of more tourists visiting the area. It notes that tourism in Daytona Beach increased by over 50 percent, increasing the demand for accommodations. Whether this was actually the reason for the change is still unknown.
Coastal Construction broke ground on Max Beach Resort in the fourth quarter of 2019. WJ Weeks Architecture LLC and Mark Dowst & Associates, Inc. are the architect and civil engineer, respectively.
