citizenM Miami World Center is scheduled to open in Summer 2022, after beginning construction in November 2019. The luxury hotel will comprise 351 rooms, requiring 127,000 square feet of new construction. Some rooms come with wall-to-wall beds, as the micro-sized rooms start at 151 square feet each. The Miami-Herald reports that the venture cost around $100 million to build.

Per Hotel Business, the hotel will offer four societyM meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and lounge. Sources report that the building will measure 12 stories above grade, dwarfed by the surrounding buildings in the area. It notes that the reason for the height is because the hotel won’t have a podium parking garage, like many structures in the region.
The hotel is surrounded by art pieces designed by FriendsWithYou, a Los Angeles collaboration group that has previously worked with Pharrell Williams and Diplo. The Next Miami reports that the art piece will cost about $260,000 and will be placed outside the hotel’s facade.
Gensler is the hotel’s architect, and Suffolk Construction Company is the general contractor. CitizenM Operations Holdings BV is the owner. citizenM Miami World Center’s address is 700 Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33132, in Miami-Dade County.
