The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given clearance to Casamar, a 21-story distinctive oceanfront condominium tower planned for 900 North Ocean Boulevard in Pompano Beach. Designed by international architecture firm Arquitectonica with interiors by New York’s Rockwell Group and landscaping by ArquitectonicaGeo, and developed by Related Group, this residential project is anticipated to elevate oceanfront living with a collection of 119 luxury residences along the sun-soaked sands of Pompano Beach with 283-feet of pristine frontage along the Atlantic Ocean. Related announced the launch of sales earlier this year, with availability comprising one- to four-bedroom units ranging in size from 1,085 to 3,934 square feet, and priced from $1.8 million.
According to documents found by YIMBY, the FAA will permit the 21-story structure to rise 219-feet, or 235-feet above sea level. Four cases have been determined, each pertaining to a particular point of the building, revealing that the structure does exceed obstruction standards, but would not be a hazard to air navigation. The tower would breach heights that would be considered an obstruction under general guidelines for this particular location, but nonetheless will be allowed to ascend on the 3.07-acre site. The bottom left corner of all four documents indicates the developer will refile the project to correct ‘above ground level’ heights, so there is a chance that the superstructure may in fact rise a bit taller than listed here.
The proposal originally submitted to Pompano Beach’s Planning and Zoning Board pitches the tower topping off at 231-feet, or 243-feet including the elevator bulkhead. YIMBY predicts these will indeed be the actual heights due to the nature of luxury condominium construction, where tall ceiling heights are common. 21-stories across 231-feet averages out to 11-feet between each floor.
Some of the most notable residential features and selling points for Casamar are the flow-through contemporary floor plans featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the city, the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, oversized terraces with continuous glass railings, private elevator access and entry foyers in all units, separate service elevators accessible to all residences, kitchens designed with Italian cabinetry, countertops, Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances and integrated espresso/cappuccino system, spacious and tranquil master bathrooms featuring contemporary finishes, Hansgrohe fixtures, beautiful vanities and deep soaking tub, laundry room with full-size washer and dryer and sink (in most units), pre-wired smart home technology, and a customized password-protected app to manage your home.
Residents will have access to services and amenities such as personalized concierge services, Sunrise and Sunset swimming pools overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, featuring cabanas and a summer kitchen, The Promenade Lounge, offering a variety of gathering areas with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, a state-of-the-art fitness center inclusive of his and her saunas with stunning views of the tropical poolside sanctuary and ocean, multimedia and gaming table, as well as two full catering kitchens, virtual reality golf simulator room, inclusive of mini bar, lobby welcome station serving coffee and light bites, open green gathering spaces with relaxing outdoor lounges, pickle ball court, 24/7 valet parking and on-premises security, water sport storage and a pet washing station.
Related is reportedly breaking ground on Casamar towards the end of this year, and projects to reach completion by 2025.
