Developers hope to move forward with a development dubbed “Snug Harbor,” a mixed-use venture in St. Petersburg, Florida. St. Pete Rising reports that the community could offer 376 housing units on a 39-acre plot. The north end of the development would offer 120 rental units spread across two buildings. That area will also have a waterfront restaurant, 200 dry slips, and 45 wet slips.
The southern end of the property will have 256 residential units––200 multi-family units and 56 townhome-style residences. The townhomes will measure two stories above grade, while the multi-family buildings measure four to five stories each. That area will also feature 225 private wet slips.
Snug Harbor’s communal amenities include a swimming pool, clubhouse, children’s playground, and open recreational field. Plans also call for a boardwalk, available to both residents and visitors to the area. In its March 2022 report, St. Pete Rising reported that Snug Harbor did not have a firm construction timeline. Yet, some sources report that the general contractor could break ground in April 2023.
The venture could cost $150 million to complete. MSA Architects designed it. Key International is the developer, Architectural Alliance is the landscape architect, and Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. is the civil engineer.
Snug Harbor’s address is 12000 Gandy Boulevard North, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33702, in Pinellas County.
