Construction continues on Metropolitan at Coral Square, a $100 million residential venture in Broward County, Florida. The complex, which was announced in 2019, will comprise 204 apartments in an eight-story tower.
Sources note that the community rests on a 4.65-acre lot and will require more than 180,000 square feet of new construction. Completion’s slated for the second quarter of 2024. Per the South Florida Business Journal, Metropolitan at Coral Square is chock-full of amenities, offering a swimming pool, fitness center, children’s playground, dog park, and business center.
World Construction Network notes that there will also be 354 parking spaces. Ascend Properties is the owner. Behar Font & Partners is the architect, and Current Builders is the general contractor. Metropolitan at Coral Square is just one of many communities that are part of an emerging trend––residential complexes centered around shopping malls.
That’s where Metropolitan at Coral Square gets its name; it’s located on the northwest corner of Coral Square Mall, which was formerly a Sears parking lot. Metropolitan at Coral Square’s address is listed as 9469 West Atlantic Boulevard, Coral Springs, Florida, 33071, in Broward County. It’s north of the Stranahan River and east of Florida State Road 869.
