Related Group and Merrimac Ventures have officially broken ground on the Crosby Residences at Miami Worldcenter. Located at 601 North Miami Avenue, in the heart of Downtown Miami, the 33-story residential tower will offer 450 fully furnished, ready-to-rent homes purposely designed, constructed, and licensed to allow for seamless listing on all leading home share platforms (subject to applicable laws and restrictions). Designed by architects at Cohen Freedman Encinosa and interiors by AVRO|KO, The Crosby is scheduled to complete construction in the first quarter of 2025; Beauchamp Construction is the general contractor.
“We are thrilled to deliver another development that provides flexible ownership and living options for a new generation of buyers coming to South Florida,” said Nick Perez, SVP of Related Group. “With all 450 units at The Crosby sold, this project follows the resounding success of our other ready-to-rent projects. This is a residential format with massive potential.”
The Crosby is located within Miami Worldcenter, the $4 billion, 27-acre master planned ‘city within a city’ featuring approximately 300,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space. A conveniently walkable community also surrounds the tower, steps away from top attractions like the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Bayfront Park, and the Historic Lyric Theater.
The Crosby offers a comprehensive fitness and wellness package with over 22,000 square feet of amenities, including saunas, hot tubs, cold plunge pools, dedicated yoga and meditation spaces, a coworking center with a juice and coffee bar, a gaming lounge with billiards, a media room, and a private rooftop restaurant and bar with breathtaking skyline views. As with every Related project, the residences will be tastefully adorned with curated, museum-quality art throughout all indoor and outdoor spaces.
Unit layouts at The Crosby include studio, one-, two-, and three-bedrooms, with square footage ranging from 350 to 825 square feet.
Building permits from the Federal Aviation Administration are currently under review for the 33-story structure to rise 377 feet above ground or 390 feet above sea level. Permits for vertical construction from Miami’s Building Department remain pending.
