Taurus Development Group LLC has revealed plans to develop a residential project on vacant land at 21800 Southwest 120th Avenue in Goulds, Miami-Dade County. Designed by Conconcreto Designs LLC, which also serves as the structural and mechanical engineer, with Fecttech Consult LLC as the civil engineer, the project is proposed to rise to 8 stories containing 28 dwelling units and a ground-floor parking garage with additional on-street parking. If approved by Miami-Dade County planners, the new building will top out at approximately 94 feet, comprise 43,676 square feet of new construction, and take on the Barcelona Tower moniker.

The development site, located at the southwestern corner of the intersection of SW 218th Street and SW 120th Ave., is situated within the Goulds Community Urban Center District (GCUC). The property is designated in the Center Sub-District of the GCUC and has been assigned a Comprehensive Development Master Plan designation of Low-Medium Density Residential (LMDR) 6-13 du/ac. At approximately 14,064 square feet or 0.32 acres, the property’s location in the GCUC and its Low-Medium Density Residential designation make it an ideal location for residential development. The developer purchased the site for $200,000 in September 2022 from Jazz Property Development LLC.

This building has a contemporary architectural style and will be finished with different colored and textured stucco. It has an extruding concrete frame that serves as an architectural element and is highlighted by black aluminum balcony railings.

The complex has a total of 28 units, consisting of 1 studio unit, 5 one-bedroom units, 10 two-bedroom units, and 12 three-bedroom units. The square footage of the apartments ranges from 587 to 1,137 square feet, and all units will have balconies.
Plans for Barcelona Tower were filed on February 2, and the developer requested Administrative Site Plan Review approval.
