The COVID-19 pandemic has increased demand for hotel rooms in South Florida, with close to 5,000 new rooms opening by 2026. One of the planned hotels is Collins Park Miami, a multi-building venture that will comprise 172,000 square feet.
Per the Rinaldi Group, the $58 million venture will offer 294 guestrooms. Amenities include a fitness center, underground parking structure, and rooftop swimming pool. The South Florida Business Journal projects that the venture would open in early 2024.
Most of Collins Park Miami requires renovating already-existing buildings. They measure from three to six stories above grade. The general contractor will also add another building that will measure five stories. That structure will be nestled on the property’s interior courtyard.
Our sources list Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design Inc. as the architect. Sunny Isle LLC is the owner, Energy Sciences Inc. is the MEP engineer, and Ocean Engineering Inc. is the civil engineer.
At the time of publication, Collins Park Miami was on track to reach its 2024 opening date, with the Rinaldi Group reporting that the venture was 59 percent complete.
Collins Park Miami’s address is 2000 Park Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, 33139, in Miami-Dade County. The hotel’s within walking distance of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
