ANF Group, Inc. recently topped off construction on Douglas Garden Residences, a 6-story health and living community located at 705 Southwest 88th Avenue in Pembroke Pines, Broward County. The development will serve as the largest affordable living development for seniors in the county. The project is a collaboration between Miami Jewish Health (MJH), a nonprofit organization providing health care and living services for older adults, and McDowell Housing Partners, a prominent real estate investment and development firm.
The event marks an important step towards addressing the needs of the senior population in Broward County by offering accessible and economically feasible living options. Al Fernandez, the president of ANF Group, expressed enthusiasm for reaching this stage and acknowledged the project team’s efforts. He highlighted the anticipation for the completion of what is expected to be a flagship development for affordable senior living in the region.

The Douglas Garden Residences are being developed on MJH’s 25-acre Douglas Gardens North Campus. The completed project will offer 410 ADA-accessible units, including studios and one or two-bedroom options, catered to individuals 62 years and older. Of these, 390 units will be designated for residents meeting age and income criteria, while the remaining 20 will be available at market rates.
Residents will have access to various amenities to enhance their lifestyle and wellness. The amenities include a scenic pond with walking paths, different communal spaces for social interaction, a large fitness center, a business center equipped with computers, rooms for crafts and games, a pet grooming station, and a library.

The collaborative efforts for this project extend to a multi-disciplinary team comprising Keith & Associates for engineering and landscape design, REPRTWAR Architecture and Design, Jewel Toned Interiors for interior design, and the law firm Nelson Mullins.
The Douglas Gardens Residences are on track for completion in late 2024, promising to offer a comprehensive living solution that integrates health care services and housing to support the senior community in Broward County.
