In 2022, developers Third Lake Capital and Echelon proposed “3rd & 3rd,” a high-rise residential complex in St. Petersburg, Florida. Now, our sources have reported that construction has officially started on the 33-story tower. The 0.88-acre build site was previously home to a low-rise building and parking lot.
3rd & 3rd will measure 375 feet above grade––one of the largest buildings in the city, according to St. Pete Rising. It will comprise 268 apartments, ranging from modest studios to large, two-story, top-floor penthouses. In-unit offerings include floor-to-ceiling windows and various high-end finishings. Homes will also come with angular balconies measuring 12 to 14 feet, along with access to 3rd & 3rd’s amenities.
They include an eighth-story pool deck, fitness center, community kitchen, work-from-home spaces, and fire pits. Aside from the residential aspect, 3rd & 3rd will have more than 15,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. Plans also call for more than 320 parking spots.
Baker Barrios Architects designed the community. Osborn Engineering is the site engineer, and B&W Structural Designs is the structural engineer. Construction on 3rd & 3rd will likely take 24 months, with completion slated for mid-2026.
3rd & 3rd is slated for 235 3rd Street South, St. Petersburg, FL, 33701, in Pinellas County.
