Construction has started on The Parks at Hallandale, a mixed-use venture in Broward County, following the security of a $83 million construction loan. Upon completion, the venture will offer 398 homes in seven five-story buildings, offering a mix of at-market rate and workforce housing units.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that residences will span 600 to 1,400 square feet, with floorplans ranging from studio to three-bedroom designs. Communal amenities feature a dog park, children’s playground, and fitness center. Other on-site offerings include a swimming pool with outdoor pavilions, tennis and pickleball courts, and barbeque pits.
The Parks at Hallandale is more than apartments; the venture will also feature 6,500 square feet of retail. Hallandale Holdings LLC, an affiliate of 13th Floor Investments, acquired the 15.46-acre build site for $18.5 million in 2022. Prior to the start of construction, the developer demolished a bowling alley. ANF Group hopes to complete the project by 2026.
MSA Architects designed The Parks at Hallandale. It also designed Shoma Bay, which Florida YIMBY reported on this past June. The 24-story tower will comprise 333 waterfront condos, along with a 35,037-square-foot Publix and more than 15,000 square feet of retail.
The Parks at Hallandale is located near the Big Easy Casino at 2002 Pembroke Road, Hallandale Beach, FL, 33009, in Broward County.
