In 2021, Florida YIMBY reported on the first phase of Atlantic Crossing, a mixed-use venture that offers apartments, office space, and retail ventures. Now, we’ve learned that Ohio-based Edwards Cos. has broken ground on the venture’s second phase in Delray Beach.

The South Florida Business Journal reports that the second phase of Atlantic Crossing will feature three buildings. One building will measure four stories and comprise 48,200 square feet of new construction, featuring 2,600 square feet of retail and 15 condos.

The three-story building will comprise more than 70,000 square feet, offering retail space, restaurants, and offices. Finally, plans call for a four-story parking garage with 479 spaces in addition to the 131 underground parking spots. These developments will all take shape on a 4.2-acre site east of Atlantic Crossing’s first phase.

Edward Cos. project was made possible with the security of a $119 million construction loan. Urban5 Construction, which is Edward Cos. in-house general contractor, started sitework back in July of this year. The venture could take anywhere from 12 to 24 months to complete, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Atlantic Crossing’s second phase is unfolding at 777 East Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL, 33483, in Palm Beach County.
