Stadler Development Proposes 213-Unit Complex for 446 4th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL

A multi-million-dollar project aimed at hospital workers and college students could take shape near the University of South Florida in St. Peterburg. Tampa-based Baker Barrios Architects is working with Stadler Development on a high-rise residential project that would yield 213 apartments. They would be market-rate units; RentCafé reports that the average monthly rent for a 912-square-foot apartment in downtown St. Petersburg is $3,199.

The 21-story structure would measure 245 feet above grade and comprise close to 320,000 square feet of new construction. Other features of the project include 2,250 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 230-spot screened-in parking garage.

Stadler Development hopes to purchase the 0.69-acre property from its current owner, Malti Realty LLC, pending various city approvals. The project’s estimated to cost $67 million to complete, and if approved, it would replace a 5,000-square-foot healthcare facility. Stadler Development could break ground in 2026.

Baker Barrios Architects has another project in its Florida pipeline: Gallery Haus, a 23-story luxury high-rise tower featuring 251 residences. In addition to a host of communal residential amenities, the venture would also host 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Stadler Development’s 213-unit project will go under review on March 3, proposed for 446 4th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL, 33701, in Pinellas County.
