Thompson Thrift Plans 312-Unit Development at 345 Burbank Ave., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

Indianapolis-based Thompson Thrift Development has plans for a multifamily housing project in St. Johns County. Our sources indicate that Ponte Vedra Burbank Apartments would comprise 312 apartments, along with a suite of amenities.

When the project was originally approved last year, the Jacksonville Business Journal reported that the homes would be spread among nine three-story buildings, along with parking garages that would allow spots for both standard motor vehicles and golf carts.

Communal amenities at Ponte Vedra Burbank Apartments (previously referred to as “Thompson Thrift at Ponte Vedra”) will include a swimming pool, fitness center, pickle ball courts, and an on-site leasing office. The venture would occupy a 12.59-acre parcel currently owned by Sonoc Co. Studio M is the architect; Jacksonville-based England, Thims & Miller is the civil engineer.

Ponte Vedra Burbank Apartments will be located next door to another multifamily venture developed by Thompson Thrift: Bainbridge Ponte Vedra Apartments – Nocatee, a 12-building community offering 396 apartments. Thompson Thrift has many projects in its pipeline, including Terrassa, a 324-unit complex located on the former site of the St. Augustine Outlets. Florida YIMBY covered that story in July 2024.
