A Miami-based developer has filed plans for a multi-family housing project in its home city.

Resia has filed a pre-application for Golden Glades II. It marks the second phase of the newly constructed Resia Golden Glades, which is located a block east. The latter venture finished construction last year and currently offers 420 apartments in four five-story buildings. The project was unique in that its modular design allowed developers to expedite the construction process and cut costs.

The newly proposed Golden Glades II would feature 220 apartments in three five-story buildings; all residences would be designated as income-restricted housing, with the specifics not yet public.

Communal amenities at Golden Glades II would include a courtyard and swimming pool, fitness center, and pickleball court. Additionally, there would be 401 parking spots.

Resia currently has Golden Glades II’s 5.46-acre build site under contract from the owners of the four single-family homes on the site. Bellon Architecture is the architect; the firm also designed a project known as “Bloch Naranja Estates,” a 120-unit community proposed last summer.

If approved, Golden Glades II would occupy 301 and 225 N.W. 159th St., plus 234 and 290 N.W. 161st St., Miami, Florida, 33169, in Miami-Dade County.
