A high-rise mixed-use project is underway in Fort Lauderdale.
Ombelle Fort Lauderdale is slated to feature two 44-story towers that will feature a combined 754 residences, with floorplans spanning studio to four-bedroom models, along with penthouses. Residences will come outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows and various modern finishings, with the cost of ownership currently starting in the $500,000s. Additionally, residents would have access to more than 100,000 square feet of resort-style amenities, which include (but aren’t limited to) sunrise and sunset pools, fitness studios, and multiple sports courts.

Additional features of Ombelle Fort Lauderdale include more than 11,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, along with a 35,000-square-foot Equinox Fitness Club (the first in Fort Lauderdale). There will also be 895 parking spots, a nearly four percent reduction from the originally planned 932 spaces.
Sky Equity Group is the developer. The New York City-based firm purchased Ombelle Fort Lauderdale’s two-acre build site for $27 million in 2021; the firm intends to spend more than $50 million to fund its two-tower project. The developer is also doubling as the general contractor.
ODA Architecture is the architect. Ombelle Fort Lauderdale has been in the works for nearly five years, with Florida YIMBY sharing insight on the project in 2023. The 754-unit venture is slated for a 2028 completion at 300 NE 3rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33301, in Broward County.

You guys could’ve at least added some pictures of the construction site
Finally!!! One of the more interesting towers to go up in Ft. Lauderdale. If built well it will have a striking presence on the skyline. Been waiting for this Equinox as there are no nice health clubs in downtown. Hope they get their vertical construction loan soon. Another twin 45 story apartment development on the other side of Top Hat Deli by Coast has been starting and stopping for 2 or 3 years now, too. Wonder when it will go vertical?
Fort Lauderdale is a great place. to live.
Ombelle has a fine location with good street access and an easy walk to the Las Olas area attractions.

Interesting shapes, not being more boring boxes and all, but more ugly Jackson Pollock balcony placement?
And there goes what’s left of the charm of Fort Lauderdale. As ugly as Miami.
2028 completion when site prep has not even begun in the middle of 2026. 2030 maybe…
While it may be allowed, based on the picture above, those 44 stories look WAY out of place in the area. I like the design, but maybe not the location for it.
