Gainesville-based Collier Cos. has plans for a residential housing complex in Pompano Beach. If approved by the city’s Development Review Committee on Wednesday, Atlantic One would comprise three five-story buildings, along with a one-story building and standalone clubhouse. In total, the venture requires just over 357,000 square feet of new construction.
Plans call for 303 studio to three-bedroom apartments, with square footage ranging from 540 to 1,370 square feet. The South Florida Business Journal reports that the average home would span 892 square feet. Communal amenities include a swimming pool, co-working space, fitness center, and lounge. There would also be 5,561 square feet of retail and 345 parking spots.
This isn’t the first time that plans have been proposed for the build site. In 2018, a previous version of Atlantic One called for 462,945 square feet of new construction with 308 units and 10,653 square feet of retail. Those plans never came to fruition, and Collier’s Cos.’s new plans are significantly different.
Attorney Matthew Scott is representing the developer’s application. Dynamik Design is the architect. Florida YIMBY recently reported on another venture in the Atlanta-based firm’s pipeline: Alton Osprey, an upscale apartment complex south of downtown Sarasota.
Atlantic One could take shape on a site located at 1800 and 1736 E. Atlantic Blvd., plus 1801 S.E. Second St., Pompano Beach, FL, 33060, in Broward County.
