Fisher Brothers Announces Second Location of AREA15 To Debut In Orlando’s Tourism Corridor In 2024

AREA15, the award-winning immersive and experiential art, entertainment, dining and retail district, announces the debut of its second location to be developed in the heart of the tourism sector in Orlando, Florida. Designed by creative agency Beneville Studios and developed by Fisher Brothers, both based in New York, the entertainment complex will occupy a 2-story, 300,000-square-foot structure and yield over 150,000 square feet of leasable space, 72,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event spaces, and 34,000 square feet of interconnected SPINE, free to the public.

Brightline Completes First Major Construction Zone For Orlando Extension

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, has completed its first major construction zone (Zone 2) on its 170-mile extension from West Palm Beach to Orlando International Airport (OIA). One of four zones along this extension, Zone 2 is a 3.5-mile-long section on Brightline’s corridor leading into OIA and represents one of the most complex and challenging areas for construction in the entire project. The Orlando extension is 70 percent complete and employs more than 1,300 daily construction workers and is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2022. The Middlesex Corporation, based in Orlando, served as the general contractor, and constructed the corridor over 33 months through the work of over 100 employees who logged more than 419,000 hours.

Exterior Work Nears Completion On 13495 Veterans Way In Lake Nona, Orlando

Construction is nearing completion on 13495 Veterans Way, a 5-story mixed-use building developed within the 100-acre Lake Nona Town Center master planned community in Lake Nona, Orlando. Designed by Washington, D.C.-based architecture firm CallisonRKTL and developed by the Tavistock Development Company, the building is comprised of 68,398 square feet of space including 63,540 square feet of boutique office spaces across the top four floors and nearly 5,000 square feet of ground floor retail. The glass-clad structure is located adjacent to Lake Nona’s Medical City, a globally-recognized cluster of health and life sciences institutions, and beside the Courtyard and Residence Inn duo-hotel by Marriot. Construction is scheduled to fully wrap up in the Spring of 2022.

Brightline Breaks Ground On Zyscovich Architects-Designed Boca Raton Station

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, breaks ground on its new Boca Raton station with Kaufman Lynn Construction, Inc. as the
construction manager for the garage and train station. Once completed, the station will be Brightline’s fifth operational in Florida, connecting travelers from Boca Raton to Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and soon Orlando. Located on a 1.8-acre site across from Mizner Park and adjacent to the downtown library, Brightline’s Boca station, designed by Zyscovich Architects, will feature approximately 38,000 square feet of space which will include its signature autonomous MRKT and premium lounge among other station amenities. The station will offer a seamless travel experience through modern technology, including a cashless environment, touchless turnstiles and high-speed WiFi. Brightline’s Boca station is expected to be complete in the fall of 2022.
