1,049-Foot Supertall Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Sells 72% Of Inventory Prior To Construction

National developer Property Markets Group, along with partners Greybrook Realty Partners, Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development and global hospitality company Hilton have announced that the Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, Florida’s upcoming first supertall skyscraper, has sold 72% of its residential inventory in just nine months. Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with renowned architect Carlos Ott and featuring interiors by award-winning interior design firm BAMO, the building will rise 100 stories and 1,049 feet above Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay as the tallest residential and hotel building south of New York City, set to become a landmark beacon for the city and an architectural wonder in Florida. Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the development will mark the debut of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, Waldorf Astoria, in the Miami market.

The Related Group, one of South Florida’s most active condo developers, and Merrimac Ventures, led by the Motwani Brothers, have teamed up for the development of The Crosby, a 31-story residential tower announced to rise at 601 North Miami Avenue within the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter complex. The project is comprised of 450 fully furnished units ranging between 350 square feet to 825 square feet, configured in studio, one-bedroom and two bedroom floor plans; over 22,000 square feet of amenities and 4,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space. Residences at The Crosby will have no rental restrictions, meaning owners will have the option to offer their units as short-term rentals. Miami Lakes-based Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates, the architect behind the 43-story Caoba tower, is leading the design with New York City-based AvroKO named as the interior designer.

The final design plans have been unveiled for the Nikola Tesla Innovation Hub, a 13-story office and commercial building undergoing a complete gut renovation and redesign at 155 South Miami Avenue – the northeast corner at the intersection with South 2nd Avenue in the Flagler District, Downtown Miami. Originally built in 1980, the revamp of the structure will bring 137,000 square feet of office space and 6,000 square feet of commercial space. The interior lot is approximately 21,210 square feet and bordered by multiple high-rise structures including the 48-story Soltair Brickell Apartments on the east and the 30-story Brickell Bayview Center on the south. Gazit Horizons Brickell LLC, an entity linked to Tel Aviv-based real estate magnate Gazit Globe, is the owner of the application.

Core formwork has reached several levels above ground on NATIIVO, a 51-story mixed-use building under construction at 601 Northeast 1st Avenue in Downtown Miami. The 588-foot-tall structure is designed by international architecture firm Arquitectonica and developed by Sixth Street Miami Partners LLC. The development is planned to yield nearly 932,859 square feet of combined space between a mix of dwelling and lodging units, office spaces, retail venues and a parking garage. Located just south of the Miami Worldcenter complex, the property is bounded by Northeast 1st Avenue to the west, Northeast 6th Street to the south and Northeast 2nd Avenue to the east.

Construction is rising rapidly on Downtown 1st, a 57-story mixed-use building under construction in Downtown Miami’s Central Business District. Developed by the Melo Group, one of the most active real estate developers in South Florida, and designed by their in-house architects, Melo Architecture, the development consists of approximately 743,073 square feet of new construction including nearly 500,000 square feet of residential space across 560 dwelling units, 12,930 square feet of office space, 2,925 square feet of ground floor retail, and 453-vehicle parking garage.
