Demolition Permits Filed For 700 Brickell Avenue Where 68-Story One Brickell City Centre Supertall Is Planned

Total demolition permits have been filed for a 10-story commercial building at 700 Brickell Avenue in Brickell, Miami’s financial district. The 190,963-square-foot structure is listed as built in 1971 and has since been used for office purposes with an attached parking garage, occupying an L-shaped 47,610-square-foot lot on the western frontage of Brickell Avenue between Southeast 7th and 8th Streets. The application was created on January 20 and awaits plan acceptance from Miami’s Building Department to begin the review process. Alpha Wrecking Group is listed as the demolition contractor, with an estimated price tag of $1,350,000 for the scope of work.

Sumaida + Khurana, Bizzi & Partners To Begin Leasing And Construction On ‘The Fifth Miami Beach’ In The Coming Months

Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners, two internationally recognized real estate development firms, announced it will begin leasing and construction in the coming months for their new Class A+ office building designed by renowned Spanish master architect Alberto Campo Baeza alongside Cube 3 as the architect of record named The Fifth Miami Beach. This will be the first commercial building in the United States and the first building in Miami designed by Baeza, who won Spain’s National Prize for Architecture last year. It will also be the first new commercial building to be built in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood in more than 15 years, located at 411 Michigan Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets. This summer, less than one year after acquiring the 21,000-square-foot site, Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners received unanimous design approval from the Historic Preservation Board of Miami.

Supertall One Brickell City Centre Gets Unanimous Approval From Miami City Commissioners

Miami City Commissioners unanimously approved an amendment to the Special Area Plan (SAP) for One Brickell City Centre, a 1,049-foot supertall commercial building planned for 700 Brickell Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The vote allows for the expansion of One Brickell City Centre’s floor plates, which will set a new precedent as the largest floor plates ever approved in Miami. The floor plates will range from 40,000 square feet on the highest floors to 60,000 square feet on the lower floors. Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica and developed in partnership between Hong Kong-based Swire Properties and New York City’s Related Companies, the 80-story tower will comprise 1.6 million square feet of Class A office space and is slated to become the tallest commercial building in Florida. Construction is expected to begin in early 2023.

Hudson Yards Developer Proposes Largest And Tallest Office Building In West Palm Beach

As office leasing activity continues to show no signs of slowing down, Related Companies (Related), the New York-based developer behind the $25 billion Hudson Yards complex in Manhattan’s West Side, reveals plans for the largest office tower in West Palm Beach. The 25-story project, going by the name 515 Fern, is proposed to yield 471,000 square feet of space including 456,000 square feet of office space and 15,000 square feet of retail space to meet the area’s high demand. Addressed as 515 Fern Street in the Downtown corridor, the 374-foot-tall structure would become the tallest office building and the second-tallest building in the city. If approved, 515 Fern is expected to break ground sometime in 2023 and complete construction in 2025.
