19-Story Ocean Park Beach Residences Awaits Approval From Development Review Committee In Pompano Beach

Miami-based real estate developer Mount Vernon Property Holdings LLC, led by Tomas Sinisterra, is requesting a major site plan approval from the Development Review Committee for the construction of Ocean Park Beach Residences, a 19-story two-towered mixed-use development which would rise at 1508 North Ocean Boulevard in Pompano Beach. Located on the southwest corner of the intersection between Northeast 16th Street and North Ocean Boulevard (State Road A1A), the vacant interior lot spans 0.62 acres and sits directly west of North Ocean Park and the beachfront. The project is designed by Miami Beach-based G3aec with Pompano Beach-based KEITH as the civil engineer and would rise approximately 205-feet, or 218-feet including the elevator bulkhead. Plans for the project include the development of 28 luxury residential condominiums, approximately 3,044 square feet of ground floor commercial space and 73 parking spaces.

The design for the project is comprised of two curving structures with architectural significance, completely wrapped in continuous balconies clad in laminated impact glass. Each concrete slab appears to vary in size and shape, creating a series of offset floors that defines the profile and character of the towers. Both volumes rise out of a four-story podium which would feature an aluminum screen, painted concrete and tall tinted glass panels along the ground floor.

Residences begin on the 5th floor and will contain one 3-bedroom unit per floor; the highest residence in each tower will be occupy the top two floors.

Demolition permits will not be required since the property is vacant. The developer will need an Air Park Obstruction permit to build the project due to the proximity to the Pompano Beach Airpark.

The site plan for Ocean Park Beach Residences is scheduled for review on January 19, 2022.

  1. Yet another unwelcome Real estate Project Pushed forward by those with a Financial interest against the wishes of the community! This will be constructed on a Postage stamp size lot, that will dramatically increase the Traffic and congestion in the immediate area. But the stake holders will only see their Profits as they drive home to a distant location!
